How to Share Access to Your Google Ads Account

See step-by-step instructions for sharing access to Google Ads with consultants and other key external partners.

Why Would You Share Access to Google Ads?

As a Google Ads user, you may require assistance or advice from a consultant or agency. That consultant must have eyes on your account, either temporarily or permanently, in order to assist you.

How Do I Grant Access To Google Ads?

Step 1: Provide the consultant with your 10-digit Google Ads account id number.

After logging in, you may see your account id in the upper-right area of Google Ads. Simply provide the consultant with this account number when asking link access to your Google Ads account.

Step 2: Wait for the consultant to request access.

You should receive an email from the consultant informing you that they have requested access and asking you to accept the request.

Step 3: Accept the request

When you receive notification from the consultant that they have requested access to your account, click the Settings symbol (it looks like a wrench) in the upper-right corner of your screen and select “Account access and security.”

Select the “Managers” tab and double-check that the client manager requesting access matches the consultant you’re working with. If this is the case, click “Accept” to grant the consultant access to the account.

Note : If you decide to part ways with this consultant, you can always return to the Managers area of the Account Access screen and remove access to this account.
